The Business
This role offers the chance to lead two well-established businesses that help Australian organisations manage risk, respond to crises and maintain safe, compliant operations. The group unites a practical field‐based service provider and a consulting‐led advisory business, operating across sectors including financial services, facilities, government, aged care, education, construction and infrastructure. Both businesses boast strong client relationships and a solid track record, and are now combining under unified leadership with an ambition to operate as a single, more connected and efficient entity – a unique opportunity for commercial and strategic creativity.
The Role
Reporting to the Group CEO and Board, the CEO will have full ownership of the combined business – its people, clients, financials and future direction. The core of the role is integration and growth: bringing the two businesses together into a single operating model, identifying commercial synergies, and building a scalable platform. Key priorities include driving commercial uplift through improved pricing, cross‐sell and service diversification; leading a digital transformation agenda to modernise systems, streamline delivery and enhance data utilisation; managing costs and improving margins; and ensuring a consistently high standard of service across both entities. This is a hands‐on leadership position, requiring close collaboration with the leadership team to build culture, lift performance and create a business greater than the sum of its parts.
The Person
You are an experienced leader with P&L responsibility and a proven ability to grow a professional services business. You thrive in complex environments and ideally have led a business integration or significant transformation. You bring a practical, commercial mindset – able to read a business quickly, identify value, and make clear decisions. A deep understanding of digital transformation – as a driver of better business performance rather than just technology projects – is essential, as is the capacity to leverage AI to uplift productivity and operational efficiency. Although you need not come from the risk or safety industry, you must respect the importance of the work and earn the trust of specialists. You are a strong communicator, credible with a board, and the kind of leader people want to work hard for.
