Business Development Manager | National Agriculture Insurer

We are seeking two experienced Business Development Managers to join a leading National Agriculture Insurer. These roles are focused on new business and require a proven 4-5 year track record within the General Insurance sector.

We are looking for individuals who prefer the "hunt", specialists who enjoy identifying commercial opportunities and have the credibility to engage with the Australian Agriculture Community.

Mandatory Requirement: This is a specialist GI sales position. We are strictly seeking professionals from a General Insurance background. Applicants from Life Insurance or sectors outside of insurance will not be considered.

The Mission

* Market Penetration: Identify, pursue, and secure untapped opportunities across the national agriculture landscape. This is a proactive sales role focused on commercial growth.
* Technical Solutions: Translate complex insurance products into practical, high‐value risk solutions for large‐scale commercial farming operations.
* Market Intelligence: Provide direct feedback from the field to influence product design and competitive positioning.

Your DNA

* The Hunting Mentality: A clear history of identifying prospects, opening doors, and consistently meeting ambitious new business targets.
* Sector Expertise: A background in General Insurance is essential. Agricultural or Farm Insurance background is a PLUS.
* Grounded Professionalism: You are equally effective presenting in a corporate office as you are standing in a paddock talking shop with a commercial producer.
* Strategic Autonomy: You are self‐motivated and capable of managing a large territory and complex sales cycles without constant supervision.

The Rewards

Remuneration: $175,000 Pkg + Variable annual remuneration up to 30%.

The Kit: Full Tools of Trade provided (Vehicle which can be used for personal and business + Tech).

Annual Leave: 5 weeks of annual leave per year.

Insurance: Life Insurance and Income Protection.

Location: Hybrid or fully remote options available (location dependent).
