Position Summary:
The primary role of the Systems Engineer is to maintain and operate the computer systems and network within the Bank's environment by providing excellent customer service and addressing end user issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
Manage the Bank's Windows servers/systems with focus on the mainstream Microsoft Operating Systems including but not limited to Active Directory Services (Authentication, GPO, DNS, DHCP), Mail Services (MS Exchange) and File and Print Services. IT also includes a fleet of servers and systems running on a Linux/Unix OS mainly (RHEL). Additional areas of support are Backup/Restore/Replication systems to provide disaster recovery capabilities for these systems.
In addition to supporting the Senior Systems Engineer in his role which also includes services such as Swift, AML systems (like Safewtach/Ficrosoft) and a range of security-based controls, but not limited to, MDM, DLP, Encryption, Incident Response and SIEM.
What we are looking for:
Business Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Tertiary qualified in Information Technology or Equivalent
* 3-5 years IT experience in network and/or systems with a major focus on customer service and service delivery frameworks.
* Knowledge and skill in Microsoft Operating System - Desktop and Servers.
* Knowledge and skill in Linux/Unix platform.
* Knowledge and skill in troubleshooting Windows Server hardware (Hyper Converged Infrastructure) and /or system issues
* Experience in Microsoft sub-systems such as Active Directory, Exchange Email systems, WSUS, Configuration Manager and SCCM
* Understanding of technologies such as Hypervisor (VMware), AV/Malware, EDR tools, Encryption, MDM, DLP and other security controls.
* Experience in Back and Restore products like Veeam.
* Experience in Monitoring and Reporting software's such as Zabbix and Netwrix.
* Understanding processes like – Incident Detection and Response, Patch Management and Vulnerability Management
