Overview
Keen to get stuck into a permanent full-time career with a progressive, independent school with a growing national network of campuses? Indie School Burnie campus invites applications for a teaching role. We offer salary scales for teachers from graduates to experienced staff, with opportunities to grow within a registered charity structure and salary packaging to boost take-home pay.
Indie School provides students the opportunity to learn in a supportive environment using individualised learning and education plans, tailored to each student\'s circumstances. Smaller class sizes support students to identify strengths and work on areas for improvement. Our foundations lie in Adult Education philosophies, with choice, independence, mutual respect and accountability playing a significant role. Students are offered higher levels of self-responsibility and greater freedoms in return.
Our schools are located in areas of socio-economic disadvantage. We re-engage students with learning, improve literacy and numeracy skills, and support each student on their next steps—return to mainstream, pursue a TAFE/RTO pathway, or enter the workforce. Our mission is to respond to Australian communities\' learning needs with strong governance and financial management. Our core values are respect, innovation, self development, and teamwork.
