Respect Aged Care’s Masters Lodge in Hervey Bay is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Food Services Assistants to join our kitchen team on a part time basis.
In this essential role, you will help ensure that our residents receive well-prepared, nutritious meals that meet their individual dietary needs and enhance their daily living experience. Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation, portioning, serving, and timely delivery of meals and refreshments to residents
Ensure meals are served in accordance with individual dietary requirements and preferences, as outlined by clinical staff and the Food Services Program (FSP)
Support the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the FSP, including temperature checks, recording deliveries, and maintaining food safety standards
Maintain cleanliness in food preparation, service, and dining areas in line with hygiene and safety standards
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to support a clean and safe environment
Communicate effectively with residents and staff to ensure satisfaction and address food-related concerns
Perform other related tasks as directed and appropriate to your skills and training
Qualifications & Experience
Completion of a recognised Food Handling Course
A current National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Previous experience in residential aged care food services is highly regarded
Background in hospitality or catering will be well regarded
Knowledge of food safety regulations and dietary requirements in an aged care setting is an advantage
