Ideally suited to an Associate level Design Architect with 8+ years of postgraduate experience, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with a design team who are really taking things to the next level.
Working from their highly regarded city fringe studio, this group has a number of projects kicking off across a variety of scales, so it's the perfect time to join and reinforce your design involvement and reputation.
Skills & Experience
* Registered Architect in Victoria
* 8+ years' experience working within a design led practice
* Exceptional presentation and communication skills – visual, verbal, written, listening
* Hands on skills in ArchiCAD (or a willingess to train in ArchiCAD)
* Solid visualisation skills using Adobe Creative Suite
* Knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes and planning ordinances
* Creative problem-solving skills, high attention to detail
Although depth of experience is preferred, there is the potential that a super star with around 5 years' experience could suffice. It goes without saying that your portfolio would have to be something special to demonstrate your design prowess
Responsibilities will include:
* Developing and communicating strong design narratives
* Preparing concept/sketch designs and feasibility studies
* Undertaking various Urban Design and Master Planning tasks
* Assisting and working with technical teams through detail design, design development, planning application submissions and construction documentation
* Ensuring compliance with building codes and sustainability initiatives
* Relating designs to relevant codes, BCA and local council requirements
* Collaborating with clients, consultants and various stakeholders
* Mentoring and supporting junior architects and designers
* Comprehension of project brief needs and scope vs fee structure
* Contributing to the firm's design philosophy and thought leadership

This is a permanent, full-time, career driven role with salary expectations in the range of $110,000 to $130,000 plus Superannuation.
