About Legal Aid Queensland
Are you an experienced family lawyer? In this role you will utilise your legal expertise to support vulnerable and disadvantaged Queenslanders. You will represent the interests of legally aided clients in family law and related matters.
What you will do
1. Representing clients including preparing matters, instructing counsel and personally appearing as an advocate in family law and related matters
2. Provide duty lawyer services and legal information advice to clients and the public
3. If a member of the Independent Children's Lawyer and Separate Representatives panels, you may act in the child's best interest
4. Help the Principal Lawyer to develop the skills, train and guide staff
About you: The successful candidate will have
5. Experience in the conduct of family law, domestic and family violence and child protection
6. Proven ability to deal with clients with complex needs in stressful situations
7. Ability to present in a clear, concise and articulate manner
