Mathematics (Secondary) Teacher - Distance Education

Contract: Maximum-term contract for the 2026 school year.
Salary: Base salary $90,100 - $127,281 plus special education allowance $3,557 p.a. (pro rata for part-time) plus superannuation.
Work arrangement: Flexibility to work from home with some onsite requirements.

What You Will Do
- Teach Secondary Mathematics within the Distance Education program, using Google Classroom or other online learning platforms.
- Collaborate in a wrap-around multidisciplinary team approach with students, families, teacher aides, and professionals such as school psychologists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to develop and deliver quality learning programs.
- Support student learning through evidence-informed practices in autism education; adapt teaching to individual student needs; maintain small class sizes with ongoing teacher aide support.
Qualifications
- NSW NESA registration to teach in NSW.
- Special Education qualifications are preferred.
- Secondary School Mathematics teaching qualification.
- Willingness and capacity to teach outside of subject area.
- Experience with Google Classrooms or other online learning platforms required for Distance Education.
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum or with intellectual disabilities (desirable).
- NSW Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment.
- Current driver's license may be essential depending on location; Light Rigid (LR) license desirable.
- International police clearance may be required.
