Flexaseal Australasia Pty Ltd supports Australian industry with a premium range of mechanical seals and sealing systems from Flexaseal Engineered Seals and Systems (USA). With more than 40 years of global success, Flexaseal continues to grow, supported by an extensive network of sales representatives and distributors servicing over 50 countries worldwide.

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven External Sales Lead to join our growing sales team.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and supporting both distributor and end-user accounts, building strong long-term relationships, and driving sales growth across the full Flexaseal product portfolio.

The territory for this role covers the Australian East Coast, with final territory allocation determined based on the successful candidate's ability to travel. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a globally recognised and respected brand and play a key role in expanding Flexaseal's presence within the Australian market.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development:

* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key distributor and end user accounts.
* Regularly visit client sites to understand their needs and challenges, providing tailored solutions that leverage Flexaseal's product offerings.
* Act as the primary point of contact for accounts within the assigned territory, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

Sales Growth:

* Prospect for new clients in assigned territories.
* Achieve or exceed sales targets through strategic planning and effective sales techniques.
* Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential customers, highlighting the benefits and features of Flexaseal products.

Market Intelligence:

* Gather and report on market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies.
* Stay updated on industry developments and continuously seek to improve product knowledge and sales skills.
* Create strategic sales plans to inform focused direction and drive efficient and targeted sales activities.

Collaboration:

* Work closely with internal teams including engineering and customer service to ensure customer requirements are met promptly and accurately.
* Coordinate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional activities, trade shows, and sales campaigns.

Technical Expertise:

* Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding product applications, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
* Conduct training sessions for customers and distributors to enhance their understanding and usage of Flexaseal products.

Qualifications:

* Dynamic personality, self-starting, strong organisational and communication skills are essential.
* Bachelor's degree is preferable but not essential, with preference for Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree, Business related degree with technical/mechanical aptitude, or equivalent outside sales experience.
* Minimum 5-7 years of outside sales experience required.
* Australian permanent residency or citizenship required.

Skills:

* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share.
* B2B sales experience required.
* Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn and understand complex products.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers at all levels.
* Self-motivated, results-driven, and thrives working independently.
* Experience with pumps and rotating equipment will be highly valued.

Schedule:

* Monday to Friday

Travel requirement:

* 50% travel.
* Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Education:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
