About the Role
The position of Support Care Specialist involves assisting residents with daily personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. This includes transferring residents from bed to chair, supporting mobility, and safely using mobility aids. The role also encompasses support with feeding, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration, and assistance with special dietary needs. Medication reminders are provided, and support is given in taking prescribed medications under nurse guidance. Additionally, providing companionship and emotional support fosters a caring environment. The specialist will help maintain a clean and safe living space by assisting with light housekeeping tasks, such as making beds and cleaning rooms. Furthermore, they assist with organizing activities promoting physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being. The specialist must follow care plans outlined by registered nurses and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care are met.

A Minimum Requirement:
