Procurement Specialist: Indirect Goods and Services
Metricon Homes is seeking an experienced procurement specialist to lead the procurement of non-construction (indirect) goods and services across its national operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Compile and maintain a comprehensive spend diagnostic for indirect expenditure
* Develop and implement processes and procedures for effective management of indirect expenditure and ensure best practice procurement at all times
* Develop and maintain category plans for all indirect expenditure
* Assess demand management opportunities for reduction in indirect expenditure
* Deliver cost reductions and total cost of ownership value outcomes
* Build robust relationships with key stakeholders across various business areas
Required Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 5 years experience in procurement or category management, ideally in indirect procurement
Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline
Experience in construction, property, or manufacturing industries
Strong experience managing indirect procurement categories in a large multi-site organisation
Proven negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills
Excellent analytical, financial, and problem-solving capabilities
Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across multiple business units
