Our client, the global leader in lifting and industrial solutions, is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to support its Australian operations and drive technical excellence across the business. This is a newly defined role that will be commercially focused to support the broader organisation deliver a commercially viable solution through a quality and engineering lens.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will sit at the intersection of engineering and sales, supporting the end-to-end quotation process through accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) development, pricing via Pronto and practical product configuration. You will partner closely with the sales team to ensure solutions are technically sound, commercially viable and aligned to customer requirements.
In addition to sales support, the role will take ownership of quality assurance processes, including customer returns analysis, root cause investigations and audit activities. You will play a key role in identifying trends, improving product performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the business. The position requires strong attention to detail, particularly across systems, pricing and product data, along with the ability to provide practical engineering input for customised solutions (e.g. minor modifications or configurations).
The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanical or industrial engineering, with experience operating in a commercial or customer-facing environment. Exposure to ERP systems (Pronto highly regarded) and design software (AutoCAD or Inventor) along with strong analytical capability and a solutions-focused mindset are essential. Experience within lifting, rigging or broader industrial products will be highly regarded.
