About the role
This role is based on our Brisbane campus. The Student Support and Administration Officer will be responsible for carrying out essential administrative activities across finance, marketing, recruitment, and student learning support. They will report to the Student Services Manager and collaborate with the Marketing and Student Recruitment Officer and Student Learning Support Officer.
Key responsibilities
* Providing advice and support to students and staff on courses, student administration systems, policies, procedures, and processes.
* Reviewing and processing admissions and other student lifecycle transactions.
* Handling and resolving student issues and escalating to the Student Services Manager where required.
* Assisting in the collection, analysis, and reporting of student data.
* Assisting in managing the institution's social media accounts.
* Providing ongoing support and resources to international students, assisting them with cultural adjustment and integration.
* Any other duties as required.
Qualifications / Selection Criteria Essential
* Completion of a tertiary qualification preferably in Accounting/Commerce, Business Administration.
* Experience working in student services/administration preferably in the international student division of a higher education provider or university.
* Knowledge of regulations relating to the higher education industry including the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act, the Higher Education Standards Framework (HESF), and an understanding of the Department of Education, Provider Registration and International Student Management System (PRISMS), will be looked on favourably.
* Demonstrated aptitude for efficient and thorough administration.
* Excellent time management skills and a willingness to be flexible in undertaking administrative duties.
* Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
* Demonstrated computer literacy, including competencies in using Microsoft tools along with basic data analysis skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
