Primary School Music Teacher - Full-TimePrimary School Music Teacher - Full-TimeAbout the RoleThe Primary School Music Teacher has a responsibility to the Head of School through the Head of Primaryto exercise the purpose and values of the School in and out of the classroom.
In partnership with the Head of Primary Arts and Languages, the teacher will deliver the academic program in a way that fosters the pursuit of excellence and the attainment of each student's potential.All teachers in the Primary School have a responsibility for the holistic development of students, the pastoral care system and co-curricular program play a vital role in this holistic development, with participation in these areas an expectation of the teacher.In order to develop deep understanding in their students the Primary School Music Teacher utilises an inquiry process of learning in addition to teaching the planned content knowledge and skills.
The preferred candidate will also have training and an applied understanding of philosophies underpinning the Orff and Kodaly approaches to music education.
