We’re seeking a highly capable People & Culture Manager to join our team and partner with our operational leaders across a large workforce. Reporting to the General Manager – People & Culture, this role will work from our Macquarie Park corporate office and our client’s site within the Sydney metropolitan area. This is a hands-on P&C generalist role with responsibility for driving employee engagement, providing strategic and operational HR advice, and managing complex employee and industrial relations matters, including union engagement. What You’ll Do Provide expert advice to leaders on all aspects of the employee lifecycle. Partner with our site leaders in providing HR/ER guidance, support and advice to coordinate and resolve people management issues. Build positive relationships with unions and support effective consultation and issue resolution. Partner with leaders to strengthen culture, engagement, and workforce capability. Coach and support managers to build confidence in leading their teams. Contribute to workforce planning, policy, and continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and foster critical stakeholder relationships. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in a People & Culture / HR generalist role. Strong knowledge of employee and industrial relations, with experience working directly with unions. Experience working within a large workforce (1,000 employees) A pragmatic and solutions-focused style, balancing compliance with people and business needs. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of an organisation including internal and external stakeholders. Experience supporting a large, blue-collar or complex workforce is highly regarded. Experience in coaching and leading a high performing team, values driven, committed to integrity, community, and creating a supportive, inclusive culture where every team member is valued and empowered.
