Our team operates within a trauma-informed framework, providing intake and assessment, immediate & practical support to victims and their families, and witnesses impacted by serious violent incidents.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled professional to provide intake and assessment services, as well as immediate and practical support to victims and their families.
Required Skills and Qualifications
1. Tertiary Qualification: A degree in Social Work, Psychology or Social Science
2. Experience: Minimum 5 years relevant experience, or lesser formal qualifications with equivalent skills and experience
3. Skills:
* Crisis response and case management
* Mental health support
* Effective communication and listening skills
* Ability to work with diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds
* Personal resilience to sustain work in environments that may involve vicarious trauma
* Ability to manage change, difficult situations, and provide viable solutions
