About the Role and About you
Greater Dandenong Council is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to lead our Risk team. This pivotal role oversees Council's Risk Registers and reporting, liaises with all departments and external stakeholders, and manages Business Continuity, Internal Risk Audit, and Insurance portfolios.
As Risk Coordinator, you will develop and implement a robust risk management framework to identify and mitigate strategic, operational, and financial risks. You will ensure compliance with legislative obligations, optimise Council's insurance portfolio to address coverage gaps and improve efficiency, and provide expert risk management advice. The role also supports staff training and maintains the Council risk register to foster a proactive approach to risk management.
