About the role: Rabobank’s Global Service Centre, Asia Pacific, based in Sydney, provides operational support to Wholesale & Treasury businesses & their clients across the Asia Pacific region. The Accounts & Payments team within Corporate Banking Services manages wholesale account servicing & payment processing. As Senior Officer, you will support corporate cash management, providing domestic & cross-border payments services across Asia, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, & regulatory compliance, You will bring a strong eye for detail, knowledge of regional payment products, & a service‑driven mindset. The team works Monday to Friday from 12:30pm to 9pm so you must be willing & able to work hours these hours to support the Asia time zone. As we have a hybrid work environment, you will work a mix of days in the office & days from home. Top Role Responsibilities & Accountabilities: Process & manage domestic & cross-border payments across multiple platforms e.g. e.g., SWIFT, RTGS, CHATS & FPS Monitor end-to-end payment flows, resolving exceptions, breaks, & investigations promptly. Meet all settlement deadlines & SLAs with a strong focus on accuracy & risk control Support client onboarding & account setups, including payment channel configuration Provide guidance to clients & Relationship Managers on payment formats, cut-offs, & operational requirements Act as a subject matter expert for complex investigations, system issues, & escalations Ensure compliance with AML, Sanctions, & regulatory frameworks, escalating risk where required Participate in audits, control testing, & issue remediation activities Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, & enhanced client experience. Support system testing, upgrades, & regulatory change initiatives Mentor & guide junior team members, contributing to a collaborative, high-performance culture To Be Successful, you will have: 5 years’ experience in an operations within Corporate, Wholesale or Institutional Banking Regional (Asia) payments or client coverage experience highly regarded Strong understanding of corporate payments & account products Hands-on knowledge of corporate banking systems & payment rails (SWIFT, RTGS, FPS, CNAPS, Direct Entry) Excellent attention to detail & an ability to work to a high level of accuracy Strong communication & stakeholder management skills Ability to prioritise, manage pressure, & meet strict deadlines Client-focused mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach Continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in automation & digital change. An ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders & clients / relationship management Previous experience supporting countries within Asia Pacific preferable Mandarin or Cantonese language skills preferred Willingness & ability to work 12:30pm - 9pm Monday to Friday (mix of in office & at home) What we're proud to offer you: Wellbeing leave.
