We are currently seeking experienced Male Disability Support Workers to join our team in Armstrong Creek (Geelong, VIC).
Multiple shifts are available within a Supported Independent Living (SIL) setting, including day, afternoon, and passive night shifts.
This role offers strong potential to convert into a permanent part-time position for the right candidate who demonstrates consistency, reliability, and strong alignment with participant support needs.
You will provide person-centred, strengths-based supports to assist participants to live safely and independently, in line with NDIS plans, behaviour support plans, and organisational requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
* Personal care with dignity, respect, and consent
* Community access and social inclusion support
* Assistance with daily living and household tasks
* Implementation of positive behaviour support strategies
* Supporting participants with complex needs, including Epilepsy
* Accurate documentation and reporting in line with NDIS requirements
About you:
* Experience in SIL environments
* Experience supporting individuals with Behaviours of Concern
* Experience supporting male participants with complex support needs
* Confident in personal care and high-intensity supports
* Strong communication and documentation skills
* Calm, consistent, and professional under pressure
* Commitment to dignity, choice, and participant rights
Essential requirements:
* Current First Aid Certificate
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Victorian Working with Children Check (Employee)
* Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
* Comprehensive car insurance
* Availability across day, afternoon, and passive night shifts (including weekends where required)
SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax):
* Base rate: $35.15
* Afternoon shift (Mon–Fri, finishes 8pm–12am): $38.67
* Active night shift (starts before 6am or finishes after midnight): $39.37
* Saturday: $49.21
* Sunday: $63.27
* Public holiday: $77.33
