About the Role
You'll be at the heart of farm operations – caring for birds, maintaining shed routines, supporting your team, and ensuring everything runs smoothly day‐to‐day. From rearing chicks to managing manure systems and supporting packing processes, this is a boots‐on, sleeves‐up kind of job with real impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Checking bird health and ensuring they have access to feed and water
* Managing or assisting with the daily farm routine across multiple sheds
* Leading or supporting a small team, including a 2IC, in a hands‐on environment
* Ensuring vaccination schedules are followed
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment (including using pressure washers)
* Overseeing manure management and assisting with packing operations as needed
Qualifications
* At least 12 months experience working in a similar role in poultry or animal care
* Strong leadership or team coordination experience
* Rearing or broiler experience preferred
* General maintenance and hands‐on problem‐solving skills
* Solid time management and communication skills
* A practical, can‐do attitude and a genuine love for farm life
* A forklift licence – or a willingness to get one
