Job Title: Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Writer – Food Production & Warehouse Operations
Location: Rydalmere, NSW
Rate: $70 per hour + Superannuation – Immediate start and minimum 3 month role
Hours: Varied shifts between 5:00am–1:00pm, 7:00am–3:00pm, or 9:00am–5:00pm
We are seeking an experienced SOP Writer to develop clear, accurate, and practical Standard Operating Procedures across multiple functions within a busy food production and warehouse environment. This role offers an immediate start and requires hands‑on interaction with production staff, supervisors, and equipment operators to ensure all procedures reflect real‑world processes and meet safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop, write, and refine SOPs for:
o Production processes
o Production machinery operation
o Forklift operation
o Pick‑packing workflows
o Stock movement and warehouse handling
o Manual handling and safe work practices
* Spend time on the production floor observing tasks, interviewing staff, and documenting correct operating procedures.
* Ensure all SOPs align with relevant WHS regulations and internal safety requirements.
* Create clear, concise instructions that are easy for staff at all skill levels to understand.
* Work closely with supervisors and operators to validate procedures and incorporate feedback.
* Assist in identifying process improvements during documentation.
* Maintain version control and organise SOPs into an accessible, structured format.
About You
* Demonstrated experience writing SOPs within a production, manufacturing, or warehousing environment.
* HAACP and GMP Experience
* Strong understanding of WHS principles, safe work methods, and manual handling requirements.
* Ability to interpret and translate technical information into user‑friendly documentation.
* Excellent communication and interviewing skills, particularly in frontline operational settings.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to varied working hours based on operational needs.
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* Comfortable working on the floor across varying shifts to align with operational needs
* Practical, observant, and able to identify critical steps and safety controls.
* Confident documenting machinery operation and physical processes accurately.
The Position
* Offering a competitive hourly rate of up to $70/HR + Super based on experience
* Immediate start for a minimum 3 month contract role
* Flexibility on hours: 5:00am–1:00pm, 7:00am–3:00pm, or 9:0am–5:00pm
* Onsite parking available and based in Parramatta surroundsWork directly with experienced production teams
