ATLAS Recruitment is partnering with a well-established engineering consultancy to support the growth of their Building Acoustics team. We are currently seeking an Acoustics Engineer with experience in building acoustics and building services to contribute to a broad portfolio of commercial, residential, healthcare, and infrastructure-related projects.
You will join a collaborative technical team, working alongside senior engineers and project leaders. This role offers exposure across the full project life cycle, from early design through to delivery, including involvement in tender submissions for upcoming transport and station-building projects.
To be successful in this role you will need:
5+ years' experience in building acoustics or acoustic consultancy (flexibility for strong candidates slightly above or below this range)
Experience working on commercial, residential, or healthcare buildings
Strong knowledge of building services acoustics, environmental noise, and relevant standards
Ability to conduct acoustic assessments, modelling, analysis, and reporting
Competency with industry acoustic modelling software
Strong written communication skills for producing clear and accurate technical reports
Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary engineering and design teams
Ability to manage workload across multiple projects and deliver to deadlines
A proactive, client-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills
Experience mentoring junior engineers (desirable)
Desirable Experience includes familiarity with:
Tender preparation and technical input for major infrastructure projects
Acoustic design for transport-related or station-building environments
Construction-phase acoustic monitoring and compliance
Room acoustics, façade design, and internal noise control
Vibration assessments and mitigation approaches
Registration Requirements
Although not mandatory, candidates with relevant professional memberships (e.g., Engineers Australia, Australian Acoustical Society) will be highly regarded.
Applicants should be eligible to work as professional engineers in Australia and willing to maintain appropriate professional standing.
