Legal and Company Secretarial Assistant The role: A leading energy business is seeking a detail-oriented Legal and Company Secretarial Assistant to join their team. This is a key role responsible for supporting the legal, compliance, and corporate governance functions, ensuring the smooth operation of administrative and documentation processes while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, experience managing corporate records, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities: Maintain corporate records and ensure safe custody of original documents, including contracts, deeds, and guarantees Ensure compliance with legal requirements, ASIC registrations, and notifications Prepare board resolutions and minutes accurately and in a timely manner Manage document management systems (TRIM, Plexus), including providing training where required Process invoices from external advisers, subscriptions, and reimbursements Perform administrative tasks such as calendar management, meeting scheduling, and correspondence Adhere to all regulatory, ethical, and compliance obligations The ideal background: 2–5 years’ relevant experience in corporate, legal, or compliance administration Knowledge of legal and compliance frameworks, as well as document management best practices Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks Ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic environment Proficiency in relevant systems and strong computer skills Why this role?
