Role Overview
Acute hospital role available in general Medical/Surgical ward. Supportive leadership team. 12‐month fixed term, part‐time (0.5) with the opportunity to scale up hours. The successful applicant will provide clinical physiotherapy services to the acute orthopaedic surgical wards, ICU and cardiorespiratory patients at Knox Private Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive Physiotherapy services to our general Medical/Surgical wards
* Deliver excellent clinical services related to assessment, treatment, planning and evidence‐based practice
* Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their support people
* Discharge planning with the multidisciplinary team and referrals to external services

Knox Private Hospital is one of the largest private hospitals in Victoria, caring for over 1.2 million people across Melbourne's east and outer east. We have a 24/7 Emergency Department, 15 theatres (including a hybrid theatre), diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more, all supported by a newly expanded coronary care unit and intensive care unit.
Essential Criteria
* Bachelor in Physiotherapy or equivalent
* Current AHPRA Registration
* Excellent clinical practice skills to manage a high acuity caseload
* Recent Acute Hospital experience
* Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Excellent organisation and time management skills
* Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork
