Expert Services Director Australia Melbourne / Sydney / Brisbane Reporting to the Managing Director Australia, the Director of Expert services is a strategic leadership role responsible for leading and overseing the Certification, compliance and audit individual will effectively partner across functions, locally, regionally and globally to align expert services strategies with company goals to drive growth and profitability.
Main responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Design and implement commercial strategies to increase customer value and market share in Australia.
Apply proven commercial leadership skills to lead commercial teams in the field of innovative growth initiatives, share gain strategies, and efficiency techniques.
Develop roadmap of abilities and skills needed for future business growth Business Leadership: Actively contribute to shaping and implementing comprehensive country-wide strategies to enable the company overall success.
Identify and evaluate market opportunities for growth and drive business development opportunities for emerging Certification, compliance and audit audit or new market segments.
Manage business budgets appropriately including revenue, margin and operating expenditure to deploy resources towards growth initiatives and markets Market Development: Uncover and seize growth opportunities, including emerging Certification, compliance and audit and new market segments.
Develop deep understanding of Australian market dynamics, and the company value proposition to improve win rate, customer intimacy, and voice of customer feedback.
Monitor market intelligence including competition, macroeconomics and the regulatory environment Customer Partnerships: Forge and maintain top-tier customer relationships with a hands-on approach, representing the company in senior-level negotiations.
Drive commercial excellence initiatives and adoption of the full customer value proposition Key account strategy (as applicable) for working with regions to drive incremental growth through value proposition and network selling solutions.
Establish meaningful connections with Partners, Key Opinion Leaders (KOL), and essential customers.
Explore opportunities for new business, customer experience improvement and large deals through these connections.
Team Management Cultivate and lead an impactful commercial team, ensuring a robust talent pipeline.
Lead commercial efficiency through data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
Manage the selection, training and development of senior staff.
Establish lines of control and delegate responsibilities to staff.
Foster cross-function relationships between senior staff of other departments (Operations, Quality, Finance, etc) YOUR PROFILE Bachelor's degree in business management, applied sciences, or equivalent.
MBA or equivalent experience is desirable.
10-15 years of experience in commercial sales or marketing management in the life sciences/scientific industry Exposure to Food, Pharma and Dairy sectors is a plus Demonstrated experience working effectively across businesses and regions in a multi divisional matrix organization to achieve commercial objectives Strong Business interpersonal skills Strong knowledge of financial and business operations with proven ability to drive margin expansion and operational improvements Ability to develop creative growth strategies and guide successful execution Meaningful experience in managing business functions with minimum 5 years Ability and desire to travel 30% of time, primarily within Australia.
Proven track record in developing and implementing short- and long-term commercial strategies to realize full market potential.
Senior management experience with deep understanding of ANZ market dynamics; driven by Commercial intensity to achieve commercial success.
Experience in leading and developing impactful teams; and creating a winning culture.
Ability to drive and manage organizational change for sustained high performance Proven skill in financial analysis and planning, including successfully managing profit and loss.
