Food Services Assistant | St Stephens Hospital
Employment Term: Casual Opportunity Available
Location: St Stephens Hospital, Hervey Bay, QLD
Remuneration: $29.02 p/hr + Casual Loading + Super + NFP Salary Packaging

Responsibilities
* Provide high‐quality service delivery to all customers, including patients, staff and visitors.
* Perform basic meal preparation, portioning, serving of hot and cold meals, meal delivery and distribution, and cleaning duties.
* Assist with the timely assembly, delivery, and collection of meals, ensuring special dietary requirements are met.
* Act as quality control to ensure all meals are presented to a high standard and flag issues when necessary.
* Maintain hygiene and safety standards in compliance with the hospital food safety program and HACCP principles.
* Demonstrate passion for customer service and recognize the importance of the role in providing an exceptional experience.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Flexible to work all shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
* Previous experience in food service or hospitality with knowledge of manual handling, chemical use, hand hygiene, and food safety.
* Team player who supports a positive work environment.
* Basic numeracy, literacy, verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to read, measure accurately and perform simple math.
* Willingness to obtain required vaccinations, undergo a national criminal history check and functional assessment.
