Swan Hill based company is looking for experienced Painting Trades Workers to join their team of skilled tradesmen for painting domestic and commercial buildings. This is a full time permanent position.
Position Details:
* erecting scaffolding and ladders, and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering
* preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces
* selecting and preparing paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives
* applying paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and sprays
* cleaning equipment and work areas
The role is accountable to the company owner and may involve liaising with a range of internal and external personnel, including service providers, contractors and company clients.
Skills and Experience Required:
To be eligible for this role, applicants must:
* have a minimum of 3 years painting experience
* have a thorough knowledge of paints and varnishes
* have a thorough knowledge of filler types, their application and preparation for painting
* be willing to work overtime as required
* be self-motivated and able to work independently as required
* possess a driving licence
Remuneration
$75,000 - $85,000 a year dependent on skills and experience. Remuneration will reflect current market conditions and industry award rates. To be discussed with the successful applicant.
