Disability Support Role

About the Position
We are seeking casual Disability Support Workers to provide support in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) home, assisting a new customer moving in alongside an existing mature-aged customer.
* Promote independence through engagement in daily routines and activities.
* Support daily living tasks, personal care and medication management as required.
* Support community access services to ensure customers have opportunities for social interaction.
* Assist with mobility through safe and appropriate manual handling techniques as needed.
* Maintain accurate documentation including daily progress notes and incident reports.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our customers, promoting independence and dignity in all aspects of daily life.
Requirements
* A sound understanding or interest in the disability sector.
* No prior experience necessary – just a passion to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
* Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts, including sleepovers.
* Valid drivers licence (P2 or open class).
* Senior First Aid and CPR certificate.
* NDIS worker screening clearance (yellow card).
* QLD blue card (working with children check).
