Based in Sydney and Brisbane Dark Knight Engineering provides a complete set of engineering, procurement and construction management services to clients across multiple industries in concrete, asphalt, brickworks, pulp and paper, waste management, and food and beverage.
Our dedicated team includes highly qualified engineers, experienced project managers and skilled automation experts with a wide breadth of capabilities suited for engineering projects of any size, anywhere.
We are looking to expand our team for our ever-growing works in ongoing projects, installations, regular maintenance and shift cover, regional and interstate work, shutdown work, breakdown call outs, and our fabrication workshop.

About the position
* You will be responsible for providing technical and engineering support to effectively deliver on-time and on-budget, operational work schedules/activities that meet client expectations and are compliant with legislative requirements, SOPs, company policies and objectives.
* You will be responsible for testing mechanical systems and ensuring all maintenance activities are completed to the highest possible standard.
* You will be scheduled for large shutdowns, planned installation, plant relocation, and maintenance projects.
* Regular and permanent shifts are available, too.
Skills and experience
* Essential Criteria (what's required):
* Australian recognised trade certification (Cert III in Mechanical Fitting or Cert III Heavy Fabrication), with the ability to produce trade certificates or equivalent papers
* Minimum 4 years experience
* Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
* Ability to work well in a team
* Strong commitment towards safety and quality
* Motivated and hardworking with a professional attitude
* Company and customer-focused based
* White Card essential
* Either has or be prepared to obtain a current Working at Heights ticket (issued within two years)
* Either has or be prepared to obtain a current Confined Space ticket (issued within two years)
* Forklift and EWP are desirable but not essential
SUCCESSFUL BOILERMAKER INTERVIEW CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE A WELD TEST – PLEASE COME TO INTERVIEW PREPARED WITH HELMET.
