About the Role
We are seeking a full time Test Automation Analyst to join our delivery team supporting a major government client project in Perth on a 1 year fixed term contract. In this role you will design and develop automated testing frameworks and scripts that ensure the reliability, performance and quality of enterprise applications. You will work closely with developers, QA analysts and DevOps engineers to embed automation and quality engineering practices into the CI/CD pipeline, helping teams deliver software faster and with greater confidence. As part of your role, you will also be required to develop, maintain and execute manual, integration and regression tests. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building automation frameworks, improving testing practices and working in agile delivery environments.

* • Design and maintain automated test frameworks
* • Develop automated test scripts for functional, regression and integration testing
* • Convert manual test cases into automated tests
* • Maintain reusable automation libraries and test suites
* CI/CD & DevOps Integration
* • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
* • Ensure tests run automatically on builds and deployments
* • Support continuous delivery practices
* Quality Assurance
* • Analyse automated test results and identify defects early
* • Work with developers to troubleshoot and resolve failures
* • Provide test reporting, metrics and coverage analysis
* • Design and execute detailed manual test cases and test scenarios
* • Perform functional, integration, regression and exploratory testing
* • Identify, document and track defects using defect management tools (e.g., Jira)
* Process Improvement
* • Evaluate new test automation tools and frameworks
* • Contribute to improved testing practices and automation adoption
* • Support an automation-first testing strategy
Skills & Experience
We're looking for someone with:
• 2–5 years experience in software testing or QA automation• Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium• Experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured etc.)• Programming experience in Python preferable, JAVA suitable• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum delivery environments• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Nice to Have
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter)• ISTQB certification (Test Automation or Advanced Test Analyst)• Experience working on government or enterprise digital projects• Knowledge of DevOps and modern testing practices
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).• ISTQB Foundation and Advanced is preferred For Automation Tester or ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level – Test Automation Engineering (CTAL-TAE)• Prior experience working on government projects is a bonus.
