Responsibilities:
Lead the collection and analysis of market intelligence to understand consumer behaviors, category trends, and competitive dynamics. Use insights to shape product strategies and brand positioning tailored to skincare consumers.
2. Brand Strategy Execution
Support the Marketing Manager in executing brand strategies by refining product positioning, messaging, and segmentation. Ensure alignment with brand vision and consistent representation across all touchpoints.
3. Product Innovation & Lifecycle Management
Own the product development lifecycle—from concept to launch—by collaborating with R&D, supply chain, manufacturing, finance and OEM partners. Drive innovation that aligns with market gaps and brand strategy, while optimizing performance across the product lifecycle.
4. OEM Management
Act as the primary liaison with OEM partners to develop and scale new product opportunities. Ensure efficient coordination, quality assurance, and timely delivery of OEM-driven innovations integrated into the skincare portfolio.
5. P&L Ownership
Manage the full P&L for the assigned skincare portfolio. Track revenue, cost of goods, and profitability at the SKU and category level. Develop pricing strategies, margin improvement plans, and promotional mechanics to maximize financial performance.
6. Campaign Planning & Execution
Collaborate with the broader marketing team to develop and roll out integrated campaigns that elevate brand visibility and drive product uptake. Oversee campaign effectiveness and post-activity performance reviews.
Work alongside the digital and e-commerce teams to boost online visibility and sales. Contribute to content strategy, SEO/SEM initiatives, and optimization of product listings and promotional mechanics across e-commerce platforms.
8. Budget Tracking
Assist in managing marketing and innovation budgets tied to the skincare portfolio. Ensure cost efficiency and accurate budget utilization across campaigns, launches, and market activities.
Support sales and trade marketing teams by providing relevant consumer insights, marketing materials, and activation plans. Align trade strategies with brand priorities to ensure in-store and online impact.
10. Performance Analysis & Reporting
Regularly assess brand and product performance using KPIs, sell-through data, and marketing ROI. Deliver monthly reviews with actionable insights to the Marketing Manager, identifying growth opportunities and performance gaps.
11. Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, external agencies, and regional stakeholders. Ensure alignment across functions for product development, launches, and go-to-market plans.
Guide and support junior team members where applicable, promoting cross-functional collaboration and continuous learning. Foster a performance-driven and innovative team culture.
13. Regulatory & Marketing Compliance
Ensure that all product communications, claims, and promotional activities comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards in the skincare industry.
Role Requirement:
1. FMCG Background: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in marketing or brand/product management within the FMCG industry, ideally in personal care or skincare categories.
* Category Knowledge: Experience or strong interest in sensory-driven products is highly advantageous.
* Product & Brand Ownership: Proven track record in managing product launches, marketing activations, and brand campaigns across channels.
* Innovation & Brand Storytelling: Exposure to new product development and the ability to craft compelling brand narratives rooted in consumer needs and category trends.
2. Cross-Functional Leadership
* Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional project teams and collaborate effectively across R&D, supply chain, digital, and commercial functions.
* Experience guiding junior team members or agencies is a plus, even if not in a formal people management capacity.
3. Strategic Thinking & Analytical Rigor
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to draw insights from market research, sales data, and campaign performance.
* Comfortable using data to shape portfolio strategy, guide decision-making, and optimize ROI.
4. Creative Development Support
* Creative sensibility with experience in shaping TVC / DVC / marketing materials including product packaging, digital content, and key visuals.
* Ability to work with 4As creative and media agencies to translate brand strategy into impactful consumer campaigns.
* Hands-on experience or strong collaboration with digital and e-commerce teams, including SEO/SEM, social media campaigns, and online platform activations.
* Familiarity with optimizing digital presence and supporting D2C or e-Retail initiatives.
6. Communication & Interpersonal Skills
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and align teams toward shared goals.
* Strong written and verbal command to manage internal communication and external partnerships.
7. Project & Time Management
Highly organized with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously - meeting deadlines, managing budgets, and ensuring quality execution.
8. Adaptability & Growth Mindset
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
