The Strategic Assistant to the CEO works closely with the CEO to support day-to-day coordination and longer-term strategic initiatives. The role focuses on organisation, follow-up, tracking actions, and executive support, enabling the CEO to focus on strategic leadership, growth, and organisational sustainability.
This position operates with a high level of autonomy within established systems, policies, and procedures and requires discretion, professionalism, and strong attention to detail.
Classification: SCHADS Award 2010 – Level 3
Employment Type: Part-time or Full-time (as agreed)
Location: Fraser Coast & Wide Bay Regions (travel between Hervey Bay and Maryborough required)
Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer
Some evening and weekend work may be required in line with role requirements.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-level administrative and coordination support to the CEO
* Manage correspondence, action items, schedules, and follow-ups
* Prepare agendas, minutes, briefing papers, and executive documentation
* Maintain and monitor strategic plan action tracking
* Track deliverables, milestones, and deadlines
* Coordinate internal and external stakeholders on CEO-led initiatives
* Maintain confidential executive records and files
* Support preparation of Board, governance, and compliance documentation

About You
You will be someone who:
* Has demonstrated experience in an administrative, executive support, or coordination role
* Is highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
* Can manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
* Communicates clearly and professionally in writing and verbally
* Works independently and follows through on actions
* Demonstrates discretion, integrity, and confidentiality
Experience in community services, disability, or supporting senior leaders is desirable but not essential.

Essential Requirements
* Ability to meet the inherent requirements of the role
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (or equivalent systems)
* Current Queensland Driver Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
* Relevant screening checks (NDIS Worker Screening, Blue Card, Police Check) or willingness to obtain
