What’s the job?
Keeping our hotel running smoothly is vital to our guest experience. As a Handyperson you’ll form a vital part of our Maintenance team, keeping everything looking sharp and running like clockwork. You’ll perform routine and preventative maintenance for the hotel’s equipment and facilities to ensure they operate efficiently. This includes minor repairs, maintenance of guest rooms, public areas and lighting. You will be able to assist in repair work and participate in our preventive maintenance program.
What we need from you
- Demonstrated experience in general building maintenance, engineering and/or construction
- Qualifications in Trade (e.g., electrician, carpenter, plumber, painter) are advantageous
- Guest focused – understanding the worksite is a 24/7 operation
- Look smart – adhere to personal grooming and hygiene standards
- Strong attention to detail, communication and organisational skills
- High energy level and passion for achieving results; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload
- Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders, etc.
- You must meet the legal requirements to work in Australia
