The Laundry Assistant is responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Organising and managing laundry operations to meet demand.
2. Sorting and separating linen requiring special attention.
3. Washing, drying, and folding all linen using best standard practices.
4. Accurately recording customer information.
5. Writing receipts, handling payments, and making change.
6. Answering phone calls, taking messages, and sending reminder messages to customers.
7. Handling customers' laundry items with care to prevent damage.
8. Treating stains according to industry practices using appropriate products.
9. Assessing and prioritising laundry jobs appropriately.
10. Picking up and delivering linen.
11. Reporting maintenance issues to the business owner.
12. Ironing various linen items such as sheets and tablecloths.
13. Maintaining a clean and safe laundry area.
14. Conducting daily cleaning of all laundry machines.
15. Sweeping and mopping floors regularly.
16. Opening and locking up the shop.
