About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Quality Assurance Officer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in fruit quality standards are adhered in all areas of our packing shed.
Responsibilities Include:
* Maintain accurate records as required for quality assurance
* Assist with the completion of all quality system documentation
* Train Quality Staff in all aspects of protocol countries requirements and quality systems
* Quality Assurance of fruit grading & packing to specifications as provided
* Quality Assurance of packed boxes & trays to specifications provided
* Assist with training sticker application onto fruit grading and the labelling of fruit trays and boxes
* Perform quality checks and tests on products including temperature monitoring and visual inspections of products and maintain required records
* Handling and disposing of non-conforming products and advising of any diseases present
* Follow and maintain and Occupation Health & Safety Policies/Procedures
* Follow all Safe Operational Procedures (SOP’s)
* Any other duties required by the Production manager/other
Key qualifications and Experience:
* A diploma or similar level or certification in a relevant field will be highly regarded e.g., Agriculture or Food processing technology
* Lead by example
* Manage oneself and others to achieve a quality result
* Exercise sound thinking and organise work accordingly
* Contribute as necessary to ensure quality and business objectives are gained
* Identify and inform Management of any new or better operations or processes to improve shed efficiency
* Be flexible to changing conditions.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Basic numeracy and literacy skills (in a major language)
* An understanding and commitment to quality systems
* Good working knowledge of technology and equipment
* An open, receptive attitude to new ideas and techniques

Pay: $77,625.00 per year
