About the Role
As a Food Services Assistant, you'll work alongside our Chef or Cook to prepare and serve meals for residents, while maintaining food safety standards and keeping the kitchen and dining areas running smoothly. This is a Part‐time position, ideal for someone looking for flexibility. The successful candidate will need to be flexible to work weekdays and weekends across a range of shifts. You'll be joining a supportive team environment where everyone works together, and your contribution is genuinely appreciated.
* Support menu planning to reflect residents' needs, preferences, and dietary requirements.
* Prepare, serve, and present meals and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene, including general cleaning and safe food handling practices.
* Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperatures and goods received.
* Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report any food or beverage concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.
A desirable candidate would have
* Completion of a Food Handling Course
* Current National Police Check & NDIS WC (or willingness to obtain)
* Previous experience in residential aged care food services.
