Ward 1FNB is a busy and diverse surgical unit providing high-quality care across multiple specialties, including:

* General Surgery
* Orthopaedics
* Urology
* Gynaecology
* Plastics

You will be supported by an experienced and approachable team of Registered Nurses (RNs), Enrolled Endorsed Nurses (EENs), Clinical Nurse Educators (CNEs), Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs), and a dedicated Nurse Unit Manager (NUM).

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Nurse Unit Manager or Registered Nurse in Charge of Shift, you will be responsible for:

* Safe medication administration
* Pre- and post-operative surgical care
* Wound and drain management
* Assisting with activities of daily living
* Monitoring and documenting patient progress
* Delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care

This is an excellent opportunity for an Enrolled Nurse with surgical experience or someone eager to develop their skills in an acute surgical setting.

About You

* Diploma of Nursing
* Current AHPRA Registration
* Demonstrated commitment to patient-centred care
* Compassion, honesty, and integrity
* Reliable work ethic and strong teamwork skills

Desirable:

Previous experience in surgical nursing (or willingness to undertake relevant training)
