About the Opportunity
Winnellie Hydraulics is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to commence an Apprenticeship as a Fitter Machinist and build a long-term career in the hydraulic and engineering industry.
This hands-on apprenticeship will see you working alongside experienced technicians and tradespeople while completing your formal trade qualification. You will gain exposure to hydraulic systems, machining processes, and mechanical repair work in a busy workshop environment. The role will also include site work

Your tasks will include:
• Assisting with the repair, maintenance and assembly of hydraulic components and equipment
• Learning machining and fitting techniques within the workshop
• Reading and interpreting basic technical drawings and manuals
• Supporting technicians with workshop and service tasks
• Following safety procedures and participating in risk assessments and safe work practices
About You
• Genuine interest in mechanical work and engineering
• Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Commitment to safety and following workplace procedures
• Driver’s licence (or working towards one) is desirable
