About the Job
As an Employment Lawyer, you will work closely with experienced partners and a well‐established team to provide clear, commercially focused legal advice to a wide range of employer clients.
Responsibilities
* Providing advice on contracts, staff handbooks and policies
* Handling absence management, disciplinary and grievance processes
* Managing redundancy and restructuring matters
* TUPE transfers and employment aspects of business acquisitions
* Tribunal case preparation and advocacy
* Advising on collective issues including trade unions and negotiations
* Providing day‐to‐day HR and strategic advice to clients
About You
This job would suit a confident and personable employment solicitor with strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset. You'll be someone who enjoys working closely with clients and colleagues and is looking to build your career in a supportive, forward‐thinking law firm.
* At least 4 years' PQE in employment law
* Experience managing a mix of contentious and advisory employment matters
* Clear and confident communication style, both written and verbal
* A proactive approach to client care and problem solving
* The ability to prioritise a varied workload and work both independently and as part of a team
* Commercial awareness and a genuine interest in employment law developments
