Becoming a qualified Machinist - Fitter/Turner requires a combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience. Our 4-year apprenticeship program provides the perfect platform for individuals to gain practical skills and complete a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
* Machining, assembly, and manufacturing techniques
* Operation of manual lathes, CNC machines, and horizontal boring
* Precision measurement and quality control
* Installation and modification of machinery
* Fault finding and testing of mechanical components
* Maintenance and servicing of equipment and tools
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:
* Minimum completion of Year 10 with solid results in Mathematics and English
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated interest in the metal trades (e.g., work experience, related studies)
* Certificate II in Engineering is an advantage
* Neat and professional personal presentation
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Commitment to workplace safety and OHS standards
* Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol screening and a full medical assessment
