About the Role:
We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Trade Assistants / Service Persons with at least 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will maintain and repair BHP's fixed plant assets, including Skirt Liners, Rollers, and Scrapers on equipment such as Conveyors, Screenhouses, Stackers, and Reclaimers.
Your duties include but are not limited to:
- Removing and replacing conveyor idlers and idler frames.
- Performing routine inspections and maintenance on skirt liners.
- Engaging in ongoing training and upskilling.
- Familiarity with SAP or willingness to learn.
- Troubleshooting plant and equipment issues.
- Supporting sustainable plant operations through collaboration.
- Following scheduled work plans.
- Conducting quality assurance activities and detailed reporting.
- Assisting in WIN development and revision for complex systems.
- Supporting scheduled maintenance for conveyor components.
- Exposure to FIFO and shift work environments is highly regarded.
What is on offer:
This role is based in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, with a fly-in fly-out schedule from Perth. The position features a dynamic roster, published 4 weeks in advance, supporting our shutdown team across all BHP sites, supporting approximately 182 days a year.
