About The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to support the General Counsel and Group Legal team across a broad range of corporate, commercial, disputes, and compliance matters. The role offers hands‐on exposure to transactional work, regulatory requirements, and the general insurance and financial services sector, making it ideal for someone looking to build a strong legal foundation.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with reviewing commercial contracts and identifying unusual or high‐risk terms
* Support mergers and acquisitions activities, including due diligence and completion tasks
* Assist with project managing legal aspects of corporate and commercial initiatives
* Support dispute resolution and AFCA matters, including drafting submissions and claims documentation
* Conduct legal research, compliance reviews, and support company secretarial activities
Skills And Qualifications
* Currently completing a law degree with Contracts Law and Company Law completed
* Strong legal research, drafting, and written communication skills
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‐paced environment
* Interest in general insurance and/or the broader financial services industry
