Group Financial Accountant
About the Company
PSG are proud to be partnering with this highly successful and well known global brand. We are looking for a Group Financial Accountant to join the Group Finance team and support the delivery of accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting across the business.
This role will work closely with regional finance teams and play an important role in the group's consolidation process, statutory reporting, and oversight of key accounting areas including leases and fixed assets.
The role will develop your wider finance skills as you will gain experience in some FP&A activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation and review of monthly group consolidations including elimination journals.
* Preparation of group balance sheet reconciliations.
* Review regional financial reporting submissions.
* Support the preparation of group statutory financial statements including Half-Year and Annual Reports.
* Assist with external audit requirements.
* Support preparation of group management reporting and performance analysis.
* Assist in the consolidation and review of regional forecasts and budgets.
* Prepare variance analysis of performance for group leadership.
* Assist in development of reporting materials for senior management.
* Oversight of group lease accounting under IFRS 16.
* Review of fixed asset accounting processes across the regions.
* Monitor group cash positions across regions and track external debt facilities.
* Support accounting for treasury instruments including interest rate swaps and hedge arrangements.
* Liaise with regional finance teams to ensure alignment with group reporting requirements.
* Support improvements to group reporting processes and financial controls.
The Ideal Candidate
This is an exciting role, working within a complex group structure, you will have the benefit of a leader who enjoys supporting and coaching the team. The ideal candidate will have an inquisitive mind set and be comfortable to suggest efficiencies and improvement of processes and systems.
* CA/CPA Qualified.
* Experience in a listed company, large corporate, or Big 4 environment preferred.
* An understanding of IFRS/AASB accounting standards.
* Confident user of Excel.
* Be a critical thinker and have an ability to adapt intimes of competing priorities.
* Be a confident communicator, both verbally and written.
