The aging infrastructure, growing populations, inadequate and constrained funding, finite resources, fragile environments, increasing connectivity and overcrowding force us to better understand our world and look at new ways to solve both old and emerging problems.
Jacobs is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect and inviting applications from across Australia to join our Digital Products team. In this role you will primarily contribute to digital product and solution creation through solution design activities for both internal Jacobs functions and for external clients. The Solutions Architect role will lead the identification and development of solution that harness digital opportunities while also supporting various functional groups (Water, Environment, Transport, Energy, Advanced Manufacturing, Cities & Places, Life Sciences, and Digital Solutions) with business development and consulting activities. The role requires awareness of and ability to apply appropriate elements of enterprise, data, technology, and application architecture frameworks, methods, and processes. Consulting activities include engagement with client stakeholders at all levels, from end-users to CxO, developing solution requirements and communicating solution design.
The solution architect will leverage Jacobs existing tools, technologies and approaches, alongside identifying new opportunities to integrate new partner components (or develop new enterprise solutions and platforms). The Solution Architect will document solutions design options and collaborate with a range of development teams, based both locally and globally, to ensure designs are understood, implementable and robust.

Here's what you'll need
* Solid experience in a Solution Architect role with the ability to lead solution design activities.
* Ability to apply appropriate techniques, reference architectures and tools applicable to the challenge being investigated.
* Good experience with Enterprise, Data, Technology and Application architecture frameworks.
* Strong background in delivering large-scale software platforms / products, digital enterprise and cloud transformation programs.
* Detailed knowledge of multiple IT disciplines including Cloud, Cloud Native Development, API Economy, Digital Experience, Artificial Intelligence, Process Automation, Stream/Event Based Architectures, Cyber Security, Extremely Large-Scale Data Processing. Azure architecture certification highly desirable.
* Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with other members of the Digital Advisory/Product Team and the wider Jacobs organisation across multiple disciplines, providing inputs to tender bids and marketing to external and internal clients.
