Senior Consultant – Health and Safety
We are looking for Senior Consultants (with 3 to 5 years of professional experience) to join our growing national health and safety consulting team based in Perth. You will work under the mentorship of our industry-renowned team leaders and closely with our clients in Oceania to strategically diagnose health and safety challenges, designing and implementing the right solutions based on better practice and risk-based approaches.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the planning and delivery of projects involving physical and psychosocial risk management, strategy, management system design, audit and analytical frameworks, culture change and leadership, to help clients succeed and navigate complex operating and regulatory environments.
* Contribute to a collaborative and high‐performing team environment underpinned by coaching and development, while applying technical expertise of health and safety on the delivery of EY's health and safety services.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and clients, including providing guidance and coaching to graduates and consultants.
Skills and Attributes for Success
* Three to five years of demonstrated experience in health and safety management systems, construction and engineering, auditing, risk management, process safety, property risk, dangerous goods, professional services/consulting industry, or equivalent operational health and safety experience.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience working in a dynamic, fast‐paced environment.
* The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
* A curious mindset, strong desire to learn, grow and upskill.
* Genuine interest in health, safety and/or wellbeing.
* Problem‐solving and analytical skills.
* Proactive approach to take initiative and identify new opportunities.
* Experience working well as part of a high‐performing team.
* The ability to travel intra‐ and interstate as required.
Optional Skills and Attributes
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in health and safety, engineering, environmental or health sciences, human factors, or business will be highly regarded.
* Exemplar Global Auditor qualifications and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment are desirable but not required.
* Understanding of the design and implementation of EHS management systems.
* EHS audit experience.
* Defence security clearance or the ability to obtain it is desirable but not essential.
