Deputy Director, US and UK Advancement (Major Gifts & Alumni Engagement)
Location: Sydney-based with regular international travel to US and UK
Term: 3-year contract

We are seeking a collaborative and strategic leader to drive increased US and UK fundraising and alumni engagement efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a three-year pilot program focused on building strong alumni networks and securing major gifts that advance world-class research and education.

About the role
As Deputy Director, you will:
* Drive the development and delivery of a comprehensive US and UK alumni and major gifts strategy.
* work closely with influential alumni and volunteer groups, including the University of Sydney USA Foundation and UK Alumni Association.
* Develop and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects capable of contributing $100,000+ AUD.
* Host and coordinate strategic alumni events in key international markets.
* Collaborate across Advancement teams and the University to maximize impact.

* Has experience in major gift fundraising and/or alumni engagement, with a proven ability to build long-term relationships.
* Possesses strong strategic thinking, communication, and relationship-building skills.
* Has experience working in complex organisations, higher education and international experience advantageous.
