What You Will Be Doing
The Adult Acute Inpatient Unit (Ward 2 West) provides 24-hour, bed-based, voluntary and compulsory short-term inpatient treatment for clients experiencing an acute phase of mental illness and/or crisis who are unable to be cared for safely in the community.
Working within a biopsychosocial frame, the multidisciplinary team provides recovery-oriented treatment and interventions focused on transitioning clients safely back into the community.
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is a valued member of the leadership team at Peninsula Health, committed to upholding Peninsula Health's values and meeting organisational goals.
The ANUM supports the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and, when required, acts in their role to provide effective leadership and management of the ward.
The ANUM oversees the delivery of safe, evidence-based, person-centred care to achieve optimal health outcomes.
To ensure clinical safety and continuity of patient-centred care, all ANUM positions must be a minimum of 0.6 EFT.
What You Need
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
Post-graduate qualification in Mental Health
Previous leadership experience in Mental Health
Exceptional communication and organisational skills
