Disability Support Role Overview:

This position involves working with individuals who have disabilities, providing them with the support and care they need to lead fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support clients in participating in age-appropriate activities, employment, in-home support, and community access
* Provide direct care assistance according to client service plans and manager directions
* Monitor client safety and well-being, reporting concerns to the manager
* Offer 1:1 or small group training and support tailored to individual client needs
* Document relevant information on support provided in client notes and communication books

Qualifications/Requirements:

* NDIS Worker Orientation Module completion is essential
* New Worker NDIS Induction Module certification required
* Valid driver's license and comprehensive car insurance
* Working with children check clearance
* National criminal record clearance
* Certificate III in Disability or equivalent qualification (desired)

Preferred Experience:

* Prior experience in personal care services and/or managing challenging behaviors advantageous
* Experience in mental health care highly desirable

Essential Skills:

* Genuine desire to provide quality support to people with disabilities
* Reliable character and strong work ethic
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, families, agencies, and professionals
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Understanding of privacy and confidentiality issues
