LOGISTICS SUPPORT OFFICER
The role
As part of our Naval Combat Systems group, the Logistics Support Officer is responsible for ensuring that all contractual supply chain obligations are delivered efficiently by driving effective outcomes that respect the internal and external environment.
Further, the successful candidate will have experience in:
* Inventory management, administration, and reporting.
* Tracking and control of Government Furnished equipment, including data entry, analysis, and reporting.
* Assisting with the control and management of Export control items, including ITAR, and ensuring compliance with Defence Trade Controls.
* Defence ERP control and utilisation.
* Driving continuous improvement of the Supply function and processes, with a structured approach to problem definition, procedural analysis, and process/system/tool design.
* Identifying, recording, and managing all supply chain risks.
* Providing routine supply chain services, procurement, stock assessment, codification, and cataloguing services as required.
* Managing and administering subcontract and supply agreement outcomes.
Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home/office, 9-day fortnight, and others will be considered for this role.
About You
Your skills and experience will include:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience delivering logistics services in the Australian Defence Industry – Essential.
* Previous experience with the Australian Defence Supply Chain system – MILIS / SAP.
* Experience with Defence Export Controls and ITAR – desirable.
* Experience managing Government Furnished equipment or asset management.
* Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Operations Management.
Note: Defence security clearance is required; applicants must hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance at baseline/NV1/NV2 level.
