About the Role:
This role provides administrative, customer service, and operational support for Council's tree management activities. As part of the Open Space team, you'll help manage public tree assets, maintain accurate records, support site inspections, coordinate contractors, and ensure customer requests are handled efficiently. Your work will contribute to a safe, well-maintained urban tree network for the Palmerston community.
This role is a 9-month term and a 38-hour-a-week role; however, part-time arrangements will be considered for suitable candidates.
About You:
You hold certificate-level or higher qualifications in business administration (or equivalent) and have experience in an administrative or operational support role. You understand administrative procedures and local government practices, manage information accurately, are confident with Microsoft Office and spreadsheets, and build strong relationships. You thrive working independently and collaboratively within a safety-focused team.
